How To Make Scroll Saw Patterns in Inkscape – Line Art

Patterns In Inkscape

This is a fairly quick video tutorial on how to make scroll saw patterns in Inkscape. The types of patterns this would be good for are patterns that consist of line art. We typically use this method to get the shape of an animal or the outline of some scenery. It is also especially useful for combining multiple images to get one joined pattern. That is something we will touch on in another video though.

If you don’t already have Inkscape you can download it for free.

If you need some awesome free images, you can get those at Pixabay.com.

If after watching the video you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below. We would be more than happy to help.

This process is a great way to make just about any scroll saw pattern from an image. If you would like to see more about these kinds of topics, please let us know in the comments below.
