Make A Wood Coin Sorter

We’re change hoarders at heart. We love emptying our pockets into a giant jar and letting it sit for a good long while. What we don’t love is sorting or counting it. And I know, in the age of Coinstar and other various coin counters there really is no need for sorting or even counting for that matter anymore. Sometimes, however we want a sneak peak at what we have piling up. Enter the faux metal change box or as I like to call it, THE COIN VAULT.

This was a really fun project that I worked on just a little bit each day over the course of about a week, but I think it could probably be completed in about a day and a half, with most of the time spent waiting for glue and paint to dry. No matter the time it took, it was fairly easy and still tons of fun.

Hopefully this inspired you to try something new or was helpful to you in some way. If it was, let us know in the comments below or share your project with us on Facebook or Google+.
